Food poisoning

If you experience any of the following signs or symptoms, seek medical attention:

  • Frequent episodes of vomiting, especially if you can’t keep water down.

  • Blood in your vomit or poop.

  • Diarrhea for more than three days. Diarrhea that lasts for several days can lead to dehydration.

  • Extreme pain or severe stomach cramps.

  • Fever, chills, waking up drenched in sweat.

  • Blurry vision, muscle weakness, and tingling in the arms.

Things to look for:

  • Feeling extremely thirsty.

  • Dry mouth despite drinking a lot of water.

  • Peeing less than normal.

  • Feeling very weak, dizzy, lightheaded, or having a headache.
