Stroke

A stroke is when blood flow is cut off to any part of your brain. This lack of oxygen causes serious damage to the brain. Symptoms usually come on suddenly and unexpectedly. The longer it takes to get help, the more serious it becomes. Here are a few things to look out for - just remember to act “FAST

Face – Does the person's face look uneven or droop on one side?

Arm – Does the person have weakness or numbness in one or both arms?

Speech – Is the person having trouble speaking or do they sound strange?

Time – If you notice any of these, it’s time to call 911.

If a serious injury occurs, the best thing you can do for yourself or a friend is call 911 - never hesitate to ask for help! A life might depend on it.

REMEMBER: Every phone, even without a payment plan, can call 911
